City of Canterbury Chamber Choir, director Edward-Rhys Harry, with Ed Kemp-Luck, piano and organ, in a characteristic programme of works old and new, familiar and unfamiliar, including on this occasion a few American connections. Included are Vaughan Williams - one of his settings of words by Walt Whitman 'Toward the Unknown Region' and 'Three Shakespeare Songs', Morten Lauridsen's 'Nocturnes', Ola Gjeilo - 'The Rose' and 'Amor de mi Alma' by the American composer Z. Randall Stroope, whose biography lists among other things a recent conducting engagement in Canterbury Cathedral.
Come and join us as we perform a selection of beautiful choral music on the theme of mystery and the unknown.
