Growing Greener 2024 Conference

Date and Time :
12th October 2024 - 9:00am - 12:30pm

We are an Eco Diocese caring for God’s creation.

Join your Eco Champions to explore Eco Church, pathways to Net Zero and practical issues such as church heating options.

This is a follow-up conference to our Canterbury COP 2023 conference held last year at the Lodge. This year we are focussing on some of those 'on the ground' issues we face in our everyday parish life as we move towards greening our buildings, land and practices.

Our speakers include Tom Abraham, from the Diocese of St. Albans who will be presenting on church heating systems and Prof. Henrik Schoenefeldt and his team who will be speaking about a new study on the journey of 3 local churches as they work towards Net Zero Carbon. You will also hear inspirational stories from other churches and an account of the different ways to manage our land, including David Tate’s fascinating talk on Living Churchyards!

Finally, we will also tell you about our new course on the environment and our future Eco Church zoom drop-in sessions.
