A weekly community coffee morning at All Saints Church in Woodchurch has brought together over 40 local residents to socialise, connect with one another, and engage more closely with the church. The morning concludes with a gentle reflection and prayer.
Curate at All Saints, Reverend Maria Stuttaford leads prayers in their chapel, with a backdrop of reflective music.
Speaking about the new initiative, Rector of the Denswood Benefice, The Revd Sue Rose said: “It has been wonderful to see how people have responded to this opportunity to be led in gentle prayer, and we often have around 10-12 people attending”.
This community event aligns with our three Bold Outcomes, particularly our aim to grow 200 new Christian communities by 2030.
Our Three Bold Outcomes are our shared vision for 2030, but the journey starts with each parish and deanery discerning and committing to their Three Things that will move us towards that future.
From the responses submitted through our Three Things campaign, clear themes have emerged. Local mission and community engagement are among the strongest, with many parishes using open community spaces as key routes for evangelism and discipleship, something clearly demonstrated through this community coffee morning.
You can make your Parish submission by using our Three Things form. More information can also be found on our Three Things webpage.
