- What is it for? By entering the database via the Canterbury Diocese Microsite you can search for grant-making bodies that make grants to projects just like yours.
- How do you log on? Please log on via this link: Diocese of Canterbury | Church Grants
- How do I find my Parish Reference Number? Each parish (rather than church) has a unique national reference number. For your reference number please contact: generousgiving@diocant.org
- Is it possible to save my search? Yes, the search is automatically saved each time.

- Church Care – This site is produced by the Council for the Care of Churches, and provides a wealth of information on caring for your church and its contents, looking after the churchyard and developing the building. There is also comprehensive information on fundraising and sources of funding
- The Heritage Funding Directory - a free easy-to-use guide to financial and other support for anyone undertaking UK related heritage projects
- The Charity Commission - by clicking on the link ‘the Register of Charities’, you can search for charities by name or key word. It lists every registered charity
- Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme - makes grants towards the VAT incurred in making repairs and carrying out alterations to listed buildings mainly used for public worship
- Benefact Trust - there is no specific deadline for applications - each application is reviewed by the Grants team. They have multiple grant programmes that provide funding for different types of projects – ranging from community impact and faith development, to building repair and preserving the heritage skills which are needed to look after our ecclesiastical heritage
- Parish Resources – this site is produced by the National Stewardship office for the Church of England and is packed with really useful information, including a very good series of guides on fundraising, and lists of trusts
- Ecclesiastical Insurance has provided some excellent materials to support parishes on all aspects of fundraising including digital fundraising
