"'I can't breathe' - Can they not hear them?'"

In a powerful radio interview this morning (3 June, 2020), the Bishop of Dover, The Right Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkin, called on President Trump to work for justice.

Speaking on Breakfast on BBC Radio Kent she said: "This is not a campaign occasion. It is time for us to see justice, to work for justice, to love mercy.

"For goodness sake, that man [George Floyd] cried out and he said, 'I can't breathe, I can't breathe' can they not hear them? 'I cannot breathe'

"For goodness sake, and so many more are saying, 'I can't breathe' and that's what I'd be saying to him [President Trump].

“Get down off your high horse, get out of your privileged bubble and listen and hear and respond to the needs of those who are crying out, 'I can't breathe.'"
