Easter has been made accessible for all at Seasalter Christian Centre with its ‘All In’ church community.
All In is an inclusive and accessible church community, designed for children with special education or additional needs who may find traditional church services difficult to understand or participate in.
Sessions held during the school holidays are bible-based, and include sensory play, crafts and games which are enjoyable for children of all abilities.
For the Easter session, children created an empty tomb with biscuits, decorated Easter eggs and told the Easter story through sensory play.
Each session ends with prayer bubbles, where the young people visualise their prayers as bubbles floating to God, and a blessing.
One of the regular volunteers, Tariq, emphasised how All In has helped establish links between the church and local community: “These activities are a chance for conversation with the young people and their families which helps to build those relationships over time.”
